About Alisa

Alisa Witenbarger, Natural Reflection Art, Nature Photographer

Alisa Witenbarger is a nature photographer with an affinity for the outdoors. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Alisa has always loved photography and carried a camera as a child. Her inspiration was the beauty of East Tennessee, spending many hours hiking in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was on these hikes that her passion for photographing nature began to grow into what it is today.

Alisa's favorite subjects to photograph are wildflowers and landscapes because she loves capturing moments that can't be seen by anyone else but her own eyes.

She loves all animals and wildlife. She’s the type of person who can win over any animal, be it a pet or wild creature. Her friends often call her “Ellie May Clampett,” because she has never met an animal that doesn't adore her.

Alisa has always been passionate about the environment, taking part in cleaning littered areas and being a good steward of the earth.

She seeks to capture the world around her through her lens and has advanced her formal photography training at University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She continued to experiment with adding reflections into her art, and that’s how Natural Reflection Art was born.

In 2019, Alisa moved to Western North Carolina. Now, she has begun to capture the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding areas.

Her mission is to spread the joy and beauty of nature to all through her art and experience of local nature.
